OoA lives and dies by three basic principles; have fun, be helpful, and progress.  We believe strongly in trying to help all members advance through the game in the manner they most enjoy, and that ultimately people's enjoyment is greater than the guild's progress.  And the bottom line is that the "Golden Rule" is something we try to not just talk about around here, but live by.

Now that WoTLK 3.1 has been out for a few months, we find ourselves pushing deep into Ulduar and starting to work on Ulduar achievements.  

We currently raid Tuesday and Thursday evenings from 6:30 - 9:30 PST, with other days being reserved for other "stuff".  Our guild consists of mostly adults who have significant real life responsibilities, hence we choose not to have 'required' raids more than twice per week.  We run DKP for the 25-mans, while the remaining instances are run using a typical "Need if you Need" system.

Our guild membership is pretty solid and pretty set, with references pretty much being required at this point for us to consider you.  If you are friends/family with an existing member we'll definately take a hard look at your application, but we like what we have and are very protective of it.

That being said, we do have openings from time to time, and aren't  completely closed to expanding the guild with folks that agree with our philosophies... and there's always a need for "new blood", so to speak.  Should you be interested in joining us, please click on the Recruitment & Application tab and read it over.
